SmartDraw automatically creates a .SDR file when you save your visual (How?). You can also animate your visual and send it to a presentation application like Microsoft PowerPoint®.
You can animate your visual in SmartDraw so that it appears piece-by-piece. This feature helps your audience to read the visual with ease and follow along with you as you present it.
To animate your visual, click the PowerPoint® tab. Select each item (How?) and assign it a step number using the Step menu button. Think about how you will present this visual - Where will you start? What things should appear at the same time?

If you're presenting a chart, use the Chart Preset menu button to automatically animate your chart by series, category, data point, and more.

Use the Preview button along with the Next, Previous, and Cancel buttons to see how your animation will appear.
You can quickly export your visual to Microsoft PowerPoint® using the Quick Access Toolbar
located at the top left corner of the screen, to the right of the SmartDraw Button
.

Click the
button.
If you have an open Microsoft PowerPoint® presentation, SmartDraw places your visual into it. If not, a new presentation will open with your visual on the first slide.
You can also click on the SmartDraw Button
,
at the top left corner of the screen. Position your cursor over Export, and click
PowerPoint® in the list that appears.
